Hybridoma

A cell that is produced in the laboratory by fusing an antibody-producing lymphocyte (which does not readily divide) with a nonantibody-producing cancer cell (which divides rapidly). The hybridoma proliferates and produces a continuous supply of a specific monoclonal antibody.
